The Approach
My experience goes beyond just being a photographer. As someone who’s worked behind the scenes at events, witnessing everything unfold time and time again, I’ve gained a unique perspective that most people don’t have. It's actually my favorite part of the job. I’ve learned so much about managing schedules, handling families and kids during portrait sessions, and keeping an eye out for those key moments and special individuals in the crowd. So much of this job is about watching and observing, and then reporting back to you (the client) with a visual documentation of the day.
Before the wedding day, I’ll ask you many questions about your family tree and friend groups. I love taking detailed notes about your loved ones—from grandparents to step-parents, step-siblings to close cousins, and college friends to camp friends. I want to capture not just photos, but the relationships with all these wonderful people.
The wedding is about the two of you, but it’s also about your friends and family coming together, meeting each other, and celebrating your love. That’s why I take a candid approach, aiming to document not just pretty pictures or the typical wedding shots, but the genuine celebration of your love and the love everyone has for you.
